Independent Educational Evaluations (IEE)
Rising Roots provides Occupational Therapy Independent Educational Evaluations (IEE) for students in both public and private schools. IEE evaluations provide specialized assessments by an occupational therapist from outside of the school system to evaluate a student’s functional abilities within the context of school. It specifically focuses on the impact of the student’s needs on their educational performance. An IEE is typically established when parents disagree with the school evaluation or subsequent recommendations or in order to establish a more comprehensive understanding of their child’s fine motor, sensory, or behavioral needs impacting their educational participation.
